While serving in the South Pacific, then Petty Officer Timothy Walker was cited for “outstanding performance” while serving on board Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron on the USS Ranger. The citation, written and signed by now retired Vice-Admiral Anthony A. Less, who went on to serve as Commander Naval Air Force, US Atlantic Fleet, and also served on President Ronald Reagan’s Joint Chiefs of Staff in Washington DC. V. Admiral Less goes on to commend Tim for “constantly performing his demanding duties” and citing his “outstanding leadership” and “superb supervision” as directly resulting in “increased readiness for Battle Group operations”. He concluded his commendation stating “Petty Officer Walkers superior professionalism and total dedication to duty… where in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.”
Tim Walker does not break down, even under the immense pressure and danger of leading in a military setting. He will always go the whole nine yards for what is in the best interests of Otsego, #WorkingTogetherForABetterOtsego
