9/8/17 TIM WALKER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FLY CREEK VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS 9/11 HERO 5K RUN/WALK TOMORROW, 9/9/17

Tim Walker is excited to participate in this great event, the proceeds of which will be going to benefit Fly Creek’s Volunteer Fire and EMS department. Tim was serving active duty reserve for the NY State Air National Guard on September 11th, 2001 and was one of the first military responders called to duty to protect New York State from, what at the time was believed to be an active and ongoing attack on the United States homeland. Events like these help us to never forget those no longer with us and also the sacrifices made by First Responders in New York City and Washington D.C. who risked everything to save others lives, even if it meant losing their own.

8/24/17 TIM WALKER RECEIVED COMMENDATION FROM VICE ADMIRAL WHO SERVED ON PRESIDENT REAGAN’S JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF, LATER IN COMMAND OF THE  US ATLANTIC FLEET

While serving in the South Pacific, then Petty Officer Timothy Walker was cited for “outstanding performance” while serving on board Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron on the USS Ranger. The citation, written and signed by now retired Vice-Admiral Anthony A. Less, who went on to serve as Commander Naval Air Force, US Atlantic Fleet, and also served on the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Washington DC. V. Admiral Less goes on to commend Tim for “constantly performing his demanding duties” and citing his “outstanding leadership” and “superb supervision” as directly resulting in “increased readiness for Battle Group operations”. He concluded his commendation stating “Petty Officer Walkers superior professionalism and total dedication to duty… where in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.”
Tim Walker does not break down, even under the immense pressure and danger of leading in a military setting. He will always go the whole nine yards for what is in the best interests of Otsego, #WorkingTogetherForABetterOtsego

8/9/17 LETTER TO THE TOWN OF OTSEGO BOARD ON THE CLOSING OF THE TRANSFER STATION

Tonight I read and presented a letter to the Town Board regarding the closing of the Transfer Station. This was announced with little to no warning by the County Board to the Town Board or Town residents, even though our Town’s own County Representative sits on the solid waste committee. This was a major error in communication and I can assure the people of Otsego that if elected their County Representative, I will regularly attend Town and Village meetings to the best of my ability and will keep open channels of communication so that things like this do not become an issue in the future. Please find the PDF of my letter below!

Best,

Tim Walker
